William Stanford Smith

William Stanford Smith passed away peacefully on February 17, 2022.
He was born on November 27, 1933 in Charleston, West Virginia to Lewis and Ruby Smith. He later moved to Akron, Ohio where he worked and retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by the Love of his Life, Doris Cox Smith; Parents, Ruby and Lewis Smith; Brother, Percy and Sister Georgeann.
He leaves to mourn his passing; devoted sons, Stanford (Donna) Smith, Albert Smith and Sharon Smith, Everett (Robin) Roy; Brother, Thomas Smith; Grandchildren, Stanford (Tammy) Smith, Lezly (Albert) Robinson, Alida Smith (Greg Conant), Brianna (Corbin) Sykes, Brandon Roy, Dakota Roy, Rivers Roy and Larkin Roy, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He had a passion for fishing and spent a lot of his free time sitting by the lake until his health prevented. He also had a love for watching the Buckeyes and Browns play football.
He was a long time member of Bethel Seventh Day Adventist Church.
