Andrew Phillip McBride

Andrew “Andy” Phillip McBride, 71, of Alliance, earned his wings surrounded by his wife and children on August 4th, 2020 after battling a long illness. Andrew was born on May 23, 1949 to Isaac and Dorothy McBride in Alliance.

Andy was a dedicated employee of 21 years at Uniroyal Tires of Fort Wayne, IN. He retired from Venture Plastics of Sebring, Ohio after years of service. He served on the Trustee Board as a dedicated member of New Zion Baptist Church. He often volunteered his for church events and school functions. He loved sports and competition. He always favored the underdog in hopes to see everyone succeed. He enjoyed listening to “old jazz”, watching movies and spending his time with his family.

Preceding his death was his mother, Dorothy and daughter, Andranae McBride.

He is survived by his Loving wife Evelyn “Honey” McBride of Alliance; father, Isaac McBride of Alliance; brothers, George (Shirley) McBride of Medina, OH, David McBride of Alliance, OH and Ivan (Leah) McBride of Akron, OH; sons, Jason (Tiffany) McBride of Indianapolis, IN, Clarence (Chemere) Saunders of Canton, OH and Terrion (Chelsea) Saunders of Dayton, OH; daughters, Tiffany (Eric) McCoy of Desota, TX, Kim (Reggie) Jackson of Detroit, MI, Andrezia (Gavin) of Akron, OH, Anazhia (Zack) of Alliance, OH, Rosetta McBride, mother of 4 of his children, a host of grandchildren and a dear friend Melvin Odd.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor W. Max Millender officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Alliance City Cemetery.
