Dante Lorenz Griffin, 29, peacefully passed away Sunday April 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Dante was born on February 22, 1993 in Akron, Ohio to parents Francine Battie and John M. Griffin. He accepted Christ at an early age. He graduated from Akron Public Schools and attended Herzing University, where he excelled in his studies. Dante had a great passion for music, cooking, wrestling, basketball, boxing, football and Podcast. He was loved by everyone. He was known to have such a big heart.
He is preceded in death by: grandfathers, John H. Griffin and Joseph L. Batie; grandmother, Ruby Batis.
Left to mourn his memory: mother, Francine Battie, father John M. Griffin; grandmother, Barbara Griffin; brothers and sisters, Natasha Griffin, Michael Griffin, Bria Griffin, Alayah Griffin, Makya Griffin, Zuree Griffin, Corry Griffin and Jayden Griffin; nieces, Leila Evans and Saniya Griffin; aunts, Sandra Board, Leslie Battie-White, Elaine Battie, Eleasha Walker; uncle Kevin (Barbette) Griffin; and a host of cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held Monday , May 2,2022 from 11:00am-12:00pm, at Sommerville Funeral Services located at 1695 Diagonal Road, Akron Ohio 44320. Funeral service to follow at 12:00pm. Minister Lawrence Moore will officiate.
Reception will be held at Ed Davis Community Center located at 730 Perkins Park Drive, Akron ohio 44320 ( from 2:00-5:30pm)
