Darrell Meadows

Darrell Andrew Meadows, 63 went home to be with the lord on July 16, 2020. Darrell was born in Akron, Ohio to Joseph and Jessie Meadows on May 8, 1957. He attended Akron Public Schools graduating from John R. Buchtel High School. He was a well-known figure within the community.

Darrell retired with over 40 years of service at Acme. Darrell was a friendly face in Acme that loved talking to everyone and a listening ear for all who needed. Darrell was a coach and a mentor to many. His energy was true beacon to the “West Side” of Akron.

After retirement, he spent his time doing the things he loved, which was golfing, traveling, music, concerts, nice cars, real estate and spending time with his family. He always could have a lucky number for you and would never mind stopping by for a visit.

Darrell is proceeded in death by his father, Joseph Meadows and his sister, Zanarie Meadows. He is survived by his sons; Darrell Meadows Jr of Tucson, Arizona and Devin (Tanisha) Meadows of JAX, FL. Loving and devoted mother Jessie Meadows. Grandchildren, Kynnedi, Jacqueline, Jeremiah, Daylen and Jasmine. Sibling include, Paula (Odell) Fennell of San Antonio, TX, Veronica (Leonard) Meadows, Milous Meadows all of Akron, Ohio and Rodney (Tracey) of Conyers, GA as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
