Erma Lee Dunn, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2024, after a short battle with illness. She was born February 9, 1937, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Erma was baptized July 6, 1980, by the late, Rev. Ernest W Angley, of Grace Cathedral, Akron, Ohio.

Erma Lee worked in housekeeping at the Hilton Inn West, where she retired on June 13, 2003. She was a long-standing member of the Grace Cathedral Church in Akron, Ohio, and she loved being a member. She was a homemaker who loved watching TV and going to church, cooking and being around her children and grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her parents, Willie & Minnie Dunn; son, Kenneth Goodson, Sr.; grandson, Kenneth Goodson Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rose Wilcher and stepson, Gerald (Valarie) Sommerville; brothers, Elijah Dunn, Jimmie Lee Dunn, Billy Dunn; sisters, Dorotha Williams, Pearl (Willie B) Bowen, Ora Lee (Lee John) Fitch, Sandra (Ronny) Wright and Bobbie Mickell.

She leaves to mourn her passing; daughters, Dorothy Mulugeta and Shirley Dunn; sisters, Linda Dunn and Lucille (Otis) Carter; sons, Terrance (Rhonda) Dunn, William (Rena) Wilcher and Charles (Patricia) Dunn; stepson, Chuckie Sommerville; special grandson, Anton Thomas; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Friends may call, Tuesday, August 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m. to Noon at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Road, Akron, Oh 44320. Services will immediately follow. Interment Mount Peace Cemetery.
