Evelyn Jackson

Mrs. Evelyn Jackson, 97, of Youngstown Ohio passed away February 24, 2023. A native of Youngstown and the oldest of four children, she attended Youngstown Public Schools and retired from Ohio Bell. She was a lifetime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She married the late Ray North and to this union was born her only child, Debra North Sommerville. After his untimely death she later married the late Henry Jackson and together they raised their daughter, Debra.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; brothers, Wendell Atkinson and Howard (Butch) Atkinson; nephews, Cortland Allen and Derrick Atkinson.

Mrs. Jackson is sadly missed by her devoted daughter, Debra North Sommerville and son in law Marco Sommerville Sr; brother, Richard, and his wife Eugenia Atkinson; cousin, Rosetta Eatman; grandchildren, Margo Sommerville, Shayla Sommerville Toulon, and Marco Sommerville II; nieces and nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 9 AM to 10 AM. Services will immediately follow at 10 AM, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 707 Arlington Street, Youngstown Ohio 44510
