Ida Mae Solomon

Ida Mae Solomon went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, November 29, 2019.
 
She was born in Georgia to Annie and Eugene Price. She was the only girl of 4 brothers and was the last survivor of them all to live a long prosperous life. In 1941, she married Andrew Solomon Jr. after which they settled in Akron, Oh and raised 3 children. She became the matriarch amongst 5 living generations.
 
She was a lifetime member of Providence Baptist Church. She served her church on the nurse’s guild. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, sewing and making dresses by hand, dancing, church and caring for her family and household.
She was known as a kind social butterfly and always told people she loved them. Most importantly she loved the Lord and praised God daily. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Eugene Price; brothers, Arvell, Elbert, Ojay and Zelma Price.
She is survived by daughters, Ardelma (Frank) Cummings and Melmer ( James) Golden and son, Climmie Solomon; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
