Lola Wims Obituary | Flower Test Order Lola Wims - Flower Test Order

Lola Wims

March 7, 1940 – February 16, 2024

Lola Mae Wims was born March 7, 1940, in Georgianna Alabama to Frank and Earmie Porter. She moved to Akron, Ohio at the age of 7 and resided in the community for the remainder of her life. In her teen years Lola loved to roller-skate, listen to music, dance, read comic books and spend time with her then boyfriend Allie Wims. Lola was joined in Holy Matrimony to Allie in October of 1957.

Lola was called home by the Lord on February 16, 2024.

Lola’s children were her life. To know her was to absolutely know this fact. Her children would have no needs as longs as she had breath. She was a true friend to those whom she loved. Lola was a dedicated member of Providence Baptist Church for decades, singing in the choir for many of these years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Earmie Porter; husband, Allie Wims Sr.; sister, Fairey Mae Vinson-Fullmore; nephew, George Vinson III, and a favorite cousin/sister, Clara Mae Pryor.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Felicia Wims, Allisa (Edward) Terrell, son and caregiver, Allie (Yolanda) Wims Jr.; grandsons, Darrius (Dominique) Wims-Calloway, Allie A Riley, Darshon Wims-Calloway, Kenyon Cooper, Dominique (Alayna) Cooper; granddaughters, Alease (Errtece) Anderson, Allison Wims, Alexis Wims; great grandchildren, Raeonna, Darrius, Darshon, Devine, Devon, Alanah, Arianna, Abriella, Nakita, and Kingston; niece, Earmistine Vinson who loved her dearly and nephew, Frank D. Vinson and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
