Mattie M. Johnson

Mattie M. Johnson, 81, of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2021. She was born March 24, 1940, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Gus and Beulah Johnson Sr.
Mattie was a graduate of Central High School and has worked for Summit County Treasurer’s office and Anthony’s Restaurant. She loved the Lord and was member of United Baptist Church for many years. Mattie enjoyed singing, spending time with family and was a fan of the Cleveland Cavs, LeBron James, and Dr. Roderick Pounds.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and siblings, Gus Johnson Jr., Perry Johnson and Arewilla “Bunt” Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memories, sisters, Evelyn Stokes, and Beulah (David) McDay; special nieces, Valerie Owens and Karla McDay, other family and friends.
Psalm 121
I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence comes my help. My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.  He will not allow your foot to be moved;
