Merilyn is preceded in death by; her mother and father, Jessie and Joseph Blackmon; brother, Kenneth Blackmon; and son, Jeffe Blackmon.

Merilyn is survived by; her sons, Joseph (Tabitha) Blackmon, Barberton Oh., Deaerre Smith, Akron Oh.; sisters, Angela Duck Akron, Oh, Theresa Parker Elmore Al; brother, Ron Smith, Akron Oh.; grandchildren, Qayanna, Jamair, Natya and Dal Blackmon, Barberton Oh., Taylor, Jayden and Jeffaye Blackmon of Akron, Oh; great grandson on the way, Khylen Blackmon and a ho of nieces, nephews and cousins.
