Arnetta Hill

Arnetta Butler Hill was born in Jackson, Mississippi on January 29, 1950. She gained her wings on November 6, 2023.

Arnetta was raised in Akron, Ohio, where she attended Akron Public Schools and then went back to her place of birth and graduated from Florence High School in Florence, Mississippi.  Arnetta Accepted Christ at a young age under Pastor Sam Silas at The Holiness Church of Christ Deliverance Center. She sang in The United Voices of Deliverance Choir and served on the Hospitality Committee.

Arnetta is affectionately known as “Bill” to her family. Arnetta enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating, and entertaining family, and friends at her home. She was known for her delicious cakes and macaroni and cheese.

Arnetta was kindhearted and always willing to help others. She retired from REM OHIO Home Health Services.

Arnetta is preceded in death by her mother, Agnes (Alford) Harrison and father, Henry (Bertha) Butler sisters: Carol Butler Davis and Kathy Butler; father-in-law Henry J. Hill, Sister-in-law Sharon Hill; and brother-in-law Marvin Hill.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, James E. Hill; son, Jason (Nacole)Thomas of Parma Heights; daughter, Alicia (Jamar)Robertson of Akron; grandchildren, Ciana, and Jamar Robertson Jr.; grand puppies, Pepper and Duce; sister, Louise (Vincent) Allen of Ridgeland, MS; brothers, John (Rhonda) Butler of Flint, Mi, Anthony (Liz) Butler, and Henry (Kimberly) Butler of Akron, OH; brother-in-law, Anthony (Janet) Hill; sister-in-law, Linda Hill, of Akron OH, and Brother-in-law Alex (Anette) Martin of South Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends; special family; niece, Tanika Butler Kirk and Aunt Juanita Cummings; and cousin, Laverne Hill.
