Jeffrey S. Bland
Jeffrey Steven Bland passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2023, after a brief illness. Jeffrey was born on August 6, 1962, in Akron, Ohio to Helen and Willie Bland, Jr.
Steve was educated in the Akron public schools and graduated from Buchtel High School in 1981. He served with the United States Army and was proud to be a veteran. Steve was employed with the Summit County Sheriff department for several years. He later worked for the University of Akron.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Bland, Jr.; sister, Carolyn Manley and brother, Billy Bland.
He is survived by sisters, Kathryn Diann Bland and Linda (Larry) Moran; brother, Mark (Renee) Bland, aunts, nephews and nieces and a host of extended family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 1:45 pm.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
