Charles H. Hamilton

Charles Harrison Hamilton, 79, fell asleep in death on Sunday July 2, 2023.

Charles was born in Russellville Alabama on October 21, 1943. He was the third of six children. He was a proud member of the United States
Marine Corps, actively serving from 1961 to 1964. Charles played softball on several intramural teams and was an avid bowler, playing with several recreational leagues.

He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. with over 35 years of employment. He began his career as a line worker, advancing to a quality control supervisor before his retirement.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Cherry Hamilton; brothers, William Frank (Loretta), Jim Jr. (Lucille), John, and sister, Brenda Gladney.

He is survived by his sister, Hattie Terrell and daughter, Traci Hamilton, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, July 13th at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Ohio from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon. Funeral service will immediately follow.
