Larry E. VanCant

Larry E. VanCant passed away after a short illness on June 12, 2022.
He was born on October 3, 1945, in Aragon, Georgia to Annie Ruth Gibbons and Harold VanCant. He graduated from Hower Vocational High School in Akron, Ohio. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired from the Akron Beacon Journal.
Larry was a long-time member of the Arlington Church of God. He served as a deacon, trustee, and a teacher.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents and other family members. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Marilyn VanCant (Lomax), children Monica Galang and Larry (Gina) VanCant II, grandchildren Brianna VanCant and Larry VanCant III, godsons Brandon Bell and Robert Lewis, and other dear family and friends.
Larry will be remembered as a man of integrity who loved the Lord. He was a kind, faithful, helpful, and loving man.
