Lonnie “Hawk” Atkinson Jr.
Lonnie “Hawk” Atkinson Jr passed away on June 16, 2024, after a long battle with illness.
He is preceded in death by wife, Imogene; son, Lonnie III; father, Lonnie Sr.; stepmother, Odessa; mother, Dorothy Couch; sisters, Gloria Woods and Dianne and granddaughter, Lonnie Marie Martin.
He is survived by daughters, Shamara and Patricia Merryweather; siblings, Ronnie Hicks and Wanda Yates; grandchildren, Leland Merryweather, Lamar Taylor, Chevonne Smith, Brian Taylor, Lonnie IV, and Erique and several beloved great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Sommerville Funeral Services, 1695 Diagonal Rd. Akron, Oh 44320.
